About Dr. Dhanshri (Michelle) Kakade
Dr. Kakade aspired to become a Dentist since the young age of 10, following in the footsteps of her childhood Dentist that she visited too frequently in her hometown of Toronto. To accomplish her goals, she started by earning her undergraduate degree, a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and Health Sciences with Specialized Honours at York University in Toronto. She then moved to Montreal to attend McGill University where she graduated with her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree.
With a passion to continue learning, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio to complete a postgraduate residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (A.E.G.D) at Case Western Reserve University. During her time there, the Ohio Dental Association awarded her first prize at their annual conference and poster presentation in Columbus, Ohio. At completion, she was recognized with the Resident of the Year Award for her contribution to the A.E.G.D. program and her dedication to excellent patient care.
Dr. Kakade’s multidisciplinary training has cultivated a special interest in advanced restorative, endodontic and implant dentistry. She provides a broad range of dental treatments to meet the needs of her patients with meticulous care and attention. Patient satisfaction is of utmost importance to her and she welcomes you and your family to experience comfortable, knowledgeable and friendly dentistry.
Concurrently with her studies, Dr. Kakade has volunteered her time to organize and participate in McGill Dentistry’s Run for Outreach, to provide free dental care at the Care Alliance Health Clinic in Cleveland and the American Dental Association’s Give Kids a Smile program. She is a member of the British Columbia Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, as well as the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia.
In her free time Dr. Kakade enjoys travelling abroad, staying active, taking dance classes, as well as discovering great restaurants around Vancouver.
